Acne can come out in any part of the body but as the face is the prominent area where we can see the acne in form of pimples, blackheads and scars, we tend to think that their growth is restricted to face only.

Sweet sixteen is the tenderest hour in the teens and acne too find this period as the right schedule to trigger in your body. There are only a limited regions in the body where acnes hardly get chance to make their niche. You will never find acne on your sole or feet and even the palm portions. Or else it can grow everywhere in your body.

Still there is a specific definition for body acne. Acne on face are not particularly regarded as body acne where as acnes on your chest and buttocks, back and belly are particularly referred as body acne.

Severity of body acne

When the follicle hair gets clogged due to the flow of sebum, acne pop up in that area of the skin. The parts of the body mostly affected by acne growth are covered areas. So the probability of seating and hence the growth of bacteria is more in those regions. Acne find them these areas the finest zone to come out and irritate you and your skin.

Women suffer more because they are fond of wearing tighter garments and accumulation of sweat takes place easily in their body.

Suitable healing techniques

Body acne take a severe shape than the face acnes. Since they form in the hidden areas applying the common ointments containing benzoyl peroxide becomes tough. Again the thickness of skin layer in the buttocks or back is more than that of chin and cheeks. This is a big barrier that stops the right action of acne ointments applied on them.

Thus you have to be more careful and sensitively deal with the problem with the correct application of medicines. For curing body acne it is better to use body cleanser with salicylic acid. Direct application of benzoyl peroxide on the acnes is a must. But use it when you are going to stay indoors and prevent moving intensively after its application. Remain dry as much as possible and try to wipe out sweat and keep clean. Also use topical retinoid like Retin A, if the body acnes start taking severe shape. Use prescribed dose of antibiotics like tetracycline. Seek help from a doctor if you find conditions worsening day by day.
